No spotter, no problem. How to lift safely and heavy at home (video).
Hi there,
Lifting heavy loads at home can provide its own challenges. For those lucky to have a good home gym, lifting by yourself can still pose issues and I want to show you a simple thing you can do to overcome such a problem.
In my current training block I am experimenting with heavy isometrics. This requires me to hold considerable loads at long muscle lengths. In my current set up I don't have a spotter or spotting/safety bars on my rack. And due to the training type I really need a safety stop in case I fail.
Therefore to continue my training I looked around the house to find something that can keep me training safely at the same loads I would normally train with.
